Why is short video content becoming more popular?

Video content is gaining a lot of popularity in comparison to standard post material because it takes more time to understand. Human psychology states that if anything is presented in the form of text and is long enough, we tend to skip reading it because we think it will take too much time.

However, because video information is usually brief, viewers can check the timeline and take in the content while still being highly interested in what the speaker in the video is saying.

If the content is not understandable, they watch it over and over and it gets good impressions, and it automatically gets more traction than the normal post.

Compared to blog posts, video content has a higher percentage of interaction and performs better in search results.

Short-form videos are easier to produce, use less bandwidth, and are better suited to the internet audience's quick attention spans across all demographics. Most likely because of this, TikTok, Reels, and Snapchat in previous years have experienced significant development and marketing attention.

When compared to YouTube, Instagram reels simplified the requirements for video creators. The emergence of one-touch creative experiences and templates, which will greatly simplify video creation and slash the time it takes to generate content by a factor of 10, will mark the next inflection point. This will increase the number of talented people who can create top-notch content.

Platforms are unlikely to pique the interest of customers on a broad scale if they are unable to keep up with or even describe developing trends. More than any other factor, product innovation will determine whether platforms are a tremendous success.

As more people use short films to share their thoughts, opinions, ideas, product reviews, and suggestions, among other things, short videos will become more and more popular. The most effective of these sites will also act as significant social commerce platforms.

Platforms you can use to publish these short videos:

Some platforms which you should be aware of, and should publish short-form video content:

1.    YouTube Shorts

2.    Twitch

3.    Instagram Reels

4.    Triller

5.    Vimeo

6.    Daily Motion

7.    Byte

8.    LBRY

9.    Metacafe

Instagram Reels.

Instagram Reels are quick, in-feed videos for the social media platform that are simple to edit with audio and music. In addition to Instagram Stories, Instagram Shops, IGTV, and Instagram Live, Reels is the newest video tool to push the app beyond the simple snap.

Here is everything you need to know about Instagram Reels:

Length: Instagram Reel is a quick, up to one-minute-long video clip.

Filming: This video can be divided into many segments. This makes it easier for users to make a video out of a few quick clips with smooth transitions.

Audio: You can utilise the audio from your video to record the Reel, choose a song from Instagram's music collection, or even reuse audio from Reels that are currently hot – this is how viral sounds appear.

Effects: You can add even more interest and entertainment to your videos by using AR Effects (masks, backdrops, etc.) produced by Instagram and independent developers.

Engagement: Users can lose hours viewing Reels since an intriguing video might be just one swipe away. Additionally, people can save any of the reels for later use. On Instagram, saved posts and saved reels can both be found.

Long-lasting impact: Reels are available to viewers for a longer period of time than Instagram Stories, which vanish after 24 hours.

Reach: Reels have the advantage of being able to reach not only your followers but also any user as long as Instagram deems your content to be pertinent to their interests.

HOW CUSTOMER USE YOUR PRODUCT

 Customer product needs

Customer definition: A customer is a person or business that buys goods or services from another business. Customers are crucial because they generate revenue. Without them, businesses would go out of business.

Product definition: A product is the item offered for sale. A product can be a service or an item. It can be physical or in virtual or cyber form. Every product is made at a cost and each is sold at a price. The price that can be charged depends on the market, the quality, the marketing and the segment that is targeted.

Marketing is the process of identifying customer needs and then introducing a product according to those needs. Marketers introduce products in the market so that we can consume everyday. When we buy a product we pay for marketing each time. Marketing acts as an important role in our daily lives. Marketing is basically satisfying customer needs which increase the quality of life and better standard of living. There are two main parties involved in marketing buyers and sellers. Marketing includes the activities of a company associated with buying and selling a product or service. In order to sell the products marketers try to promote their products by different types of medium. The most famous type is bill boards and signs. The internet has been the most easiest and effective way of promoting products to the customers. Magazines, T.V, Radio and newspapers are other ways of introducing products. Marketing is all about selling, delivering products to consumers, promotion of new products to attract customers.

There are many definitions of marketing. One of the great management thinkers Peter Drucker said something which acts as a good reminder of the value of good marketing:

"The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well; the product or service fits him and sells itself." – Peter Drucker

Marketing Communication:
Marketing communication is subdivided into 4 features:

Advertising: Advertising is transmitting information to the customers by various kinds of media by paying sum amount of money. It is basically to attract the customers to buy the products.

In order words advertising is a publicity to influence the people to purchase the specific product. Advertising media includes T.V, newspaper, cinema, radio, posters, billboards and internet. It promotes the products and tries to convince the consumers to buy a product by pressure that it is more desirable for them than others. Advertising can be done by the organizations, industries as well as by individuals. Advertising can also be used combining with other marketing communications.

The amount of advertising in UK can be recognized through posters, billboards and T.V. It has been estimated that the drinks industry spends over £200 million on advertising and that between 1 and 2 percentage of national income is spent on advertising in United Kingdom.

 Sales promotion:

Sales promotions are the excellent offers to persuade the customers to buy go77ods and services. Normally to increase in the sales of an organization for the short period and sometimes to sold out the old stock. These are the tricks to trap the customer for the particular product.

There are varieties of sales promotions methods to that a business can use to make products appealing. Some of the methods are as under:

Discount vouchers: Customers been sent the coupons, or they themselves tear off from the magazines and newspapers which enables them to get the particular product in low price by showing the coupon.

Competitions: Sometimes when a customer purchase a product, allows them to enter the draw to win a prize (for e.g. cash, cars, electronics, air tickets etc.)

Free Gifts: Sometimes when the product is bought by the customers they get another product free with it or sometimes different prizes instantly.

Loyalty cards: These are those cards which allow the customers to earn points on the cards when they buy products, later on which can be redeemed as cash or goods. (for e.g. Tesco club card, nectar etc.) Loyalty cards have become the most important bright form of sales promotion.

Public relations: Public relation doesn’t deal with the product and services. It mainly deals in making good relations between employees or customers. The primary function is to have the trust of public understanding. Examples of public relations are worker preparation, support of charitable events etc. In this type of marketing communication the organization aimed for the increase in sales by improving the image of the company and product.

Direct marketing:
Convey of advertising message directly to the consumer on individual basis through any type of medium. The main difference between direct marketing and other kind of promotion is that you have close relation with the needs of the customer and succeed in delivering a message.

Integrated Marketing Communication: The management of the organization is planned in such a way that all the feature of marketing communication work together rather than allows them to work separately. As mentioned above marketing communication includes sales promotion, advertising, direct marketing and public relations.

Integrated marketing communication good idea for making business more profit. All the marketing communication departments work together for the betterment and profitably of an organization. The company use only one approach towards everything. Integrated Marketing Communication is more than the management of a company's outgoing message between different media and the reliability of the message throughout. It is a destructive marketing plan that captures and uses a vast amount of customer information in setting and tracking marketing strategy. It can be also defines as a holistic approach to promote buying and selling of digital economy.

What is CRM?

A tool known as customer relationship management (CRM) is used to handle all interactions and relationships between your business and its clients. The objective is straightforward: strengthen business ties to expand your company. CRM systems assist businesses in maintaining contact with clients, streamlining procedures, and boosting profitability.

A CRM system, a technology that aids in contact management, sales management, agent productivity, and other tasks, is what most people mean when they mention CRM. Today, customer relationship management (CRM) tools can be used to manage customer relationships throughout the customer lifecycle, including interactions in marketing, sales, digital commerce, and customer service.

A CRM solution enables you to concentrate on your company's relationships with specific people, such as clients, service users, coworkers, or suppliers, over the course of your interactions with them. This includes attracting new clients, earning their business, and maintaining and enhancing your relationships with them.

Are CRM tools necessary for small and medium businesses?

You may have concluded that a CRM system is probably in your company's future now that you are aware of what a CRM is. The reasonable follow-up query is when. The next question is when?

Many small and medium businesses begin by only keeping track of their prospects in an email tool for marketing and their customer list in a sheet. For a while, that works just okay, but then things start to fall apart. It can be difficult to keep track of everything, particularly for businesses trying to expand.

There may be inconsistencies across various databases if your data is stored in various locations. Your team's ability to combine everything can be slowed down by something as basic as someone forgetting to update one sheet.

Understanding how various connections or businesses are connected when critical information is separated might be challenging.

A CRM is useful for HR problems like employee departures. You rely on salespeople to conclude open deals and remember to update any verbal communications if you do not have a CRM. By saving everything and enabling the subsequent team member to join in without losing any ground, a CRM eliminates the element of the guesswork from this process and saves everyone time.

Types of CRM systems

CRM systems can be broadly classified into three categories:

Operational CRM

Deals with customer care support, marketing, and sales promotion; sometimes known as "front office."

Analytical CRM

Consumer behaviour data analysis includes forecasting customer behaviour, studying marketing campaigns, and looking for new sales prospects.

Collaborative CRM

Using a variety of channels for communicating with customers, optimizing that interaction, including sharing consumer data internally.

Conclusion

The word "connection" alone contains the explanation for why CRM is useful to micro businesses. The structure of your business is built on the relationships you have established and how those are actively developing.

CRM technology helps automate important administrative tasks, like keeping in touch with clients. It will be lot simpler to promote to your clients once you've organized their data into categories because you'll be able to make sure they get the right message at the right time.

POINT OUT COMMON MISTAKE?

“It is important that we forgive ourselves for making mistakes. We need to learn from our mistakes and move on”.

                                                                                                                                    Steve Maraboli.

The act of making one’s living by earning money through the process of buying and selling different kinds of products is called business. Business is based on the foundation of profit and loss thus the success or failure of a business has a broad spectrum of variation. Many business fail because lack of planning, poor leadership, lack of differentiation, inability to learn from failure, lack of capital and ignoring customers needs.

Types of mistakes

A. Stretch mistakes

B. A-ha Moment mistakes

C. Sloppy mistakes

D. High- stake mistakes

A. Stretch mistakes: Stretch mistakes happen when we're working to expand our current abilities. We're not trying to make these mistakes in that we're not trying to do something incorrectly, but instead, we're trying to do something that is beyond what we already can do without help, so we're bound to make some errors. Stretch mistakes are positive. If we never made stretch mistakes, it would mean that we never truly challenged ourselves to learn new knowledge or skills.

B. A-ha Moment mistakes : Another positive type of mistake, but one that is harder to strive or plan for, is the aha-moment mistake. This happens when we achieve what we intend to do, but then realize that it was a mistake to do so because of some knowledge we lacked which is now becoming apparent. We can gain more aha moments from mistakes by being reflective. We can ask ourselves What was unexpected? Why did that result occur? What went well and what didn't? Is there anything I could try differently next time? We can also ask people around us for information we may not be aware of, or for ideas for improvement.

C. Sloppy mistakes : Sloppy mistakes happen when we're doing something we already know how to do, but we do it incorrectly because we lose concentration. We all make sloppy mistakes occasionally because we're human. However, when we make too many of these mistakes, especially on a task that we intend to focus on at the time, it signals an opportunity to enhance our focus, processes, environment, or habits. Sometimes sloppy mistakes can be turned into aha moments. If we make a mistake because we're not focused on the task at hand, or we're too tired, or something distracted us, upon reflection we can gain aha-moments on how to improve, such as realizing we're better at certain tasks after a good night's sleep, or that if we silence our gadgets or close our doors we can focus better.

D. High- stake mistakes High-Stakes mistakes are when we mess up something very important. For example, test scores, interviews, sporting events. We learn we need more practice, training, and knowledge so we avoid making them in the future.

Reason for Business Failure : If I were to start a business, the main reasons why it would fail include poor planning, focus on profits rather than customers, and poor leadership. Many businesses fail because people do not create short-term and long-term plans. It is important to plan and decide the milestones that should be achieved in the next few months and the next few years. The success of the business would depend on the complete understanding of customers about their tastes, likes, dislikes, and needs. It would be important to provide products and services that meet the needs and demands of customers. Otherwise, the business would fail because of providing products that customers do not need. The dreams, values, and goals of customers are critical in the creation and running of a successful business. Effective leadership includes aspects such as employee and financial management, quality decisions, training and development, and timely problem-solving. Business failure could be avoided by creating both short and long-term goals, creating business goals based on the needs of customers, and hiring a competent individual to run the business.

Source of Advice When Staring a Business : Three sources of information when starting a business include the internet, print, and television. Technological advancement has turned the Internet into the vastest and reliable source f information. Several subscription services allow users to access databases that provide information on how to start and run a business effectively. The Internet is a great source because it contains information that includes market demographics, case studies of business success and failure, financing, tax compliance, banking, registration of companies, and government laws and regulations.

Print sources such as books, magazines, and pamphlets are also a great source of information on how to start a business. Magazines and newspapers such as Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, and Nation’s Business provide information on a wide range of topics regarding the proper running of businesses. These sources can provide information on aspects of starting a business such as creating a good business plan, financing, laws and regulations, effective business models, and what to avoid.

Television is also a source of business information even though it is not as extensive and reliable as print media and the Internet. Several programs are devoted to businesses that could provide useful information. These programs cover stories of businesses that succeeded and those that failed. They also invite professionals to talk about how to start and run a successful business enterprise.

How Such Services Might Help Me : If I wanted to start a business, the aforementioned sources of information would help me in various ways. First, they would supply information on all the requirements of starting a business. For instance, they would provide information on how to register a company, get financing, and act within the limits of the law. Besides, they would be useful when developing a business plan. Second, they would supply information on the common mistakes that en5erpreeurs make and how to avoid them when building a business. Gaining insights from entrepreneurs who failed is would be an integral part of learning to avoid making similar mistakes in my business. Third, the services would educate me and provide insights on making effective decisions. For instance, they would teach me about choosing a business structure, choosing a business location, business financials, filing and paying taxes, and hiring and retaining employees.

Reasons for a Business’s Failure:-

I have shopped at several stores and eaten in restaurants that led me to conclude that they were not going to make it in the business world. The reasons that prompted me to make that conclusion included poor customer service, bad location, and lack of competitive advantage.

The places I visited had poor customer service. The attendants were rude, slow, and inattentive. The service was poor and the attendants were unreliable. Another reason was the bad geographical location. I once shopped at a store whose demographics caused me to conclude that it would fail. It had low foot traffic, was inaccessible, and had inadequate parking, and there were few businesses and services in the vicinity. A larger competitor that offered cheaper products and was accessible was a few just blocks away. The store lacked a competitive advantage. It was small, poorly located, and offered products at higher prices than the larger and conveniently located competitor. In many cases, the location of competing companies matters in the success of a business because of comparison shopping. This is beneficial only if the business offers products of a higher quality than its competitor and at a lower price. The store was offering products of similar quality but at a higher price. Lower prices and ample parking space gave the competitor a competitive advantage.

Conclusion : Many businesses fail because of factors such as lack of planning, poor leadership, lack of differentiation, inability to learn from failure, lack of capital, and ignoring customer needs. Entrepreneurs need to develop certain skills and gain knowledge on how to run a business before starting one. Sources of information include print media, television, and the Internet. Successful businesses provide quality customer service, plan properly, and choose locations that are convenient to customers.

                                                                                                                                        Sonali Subudhi
